Headquartered in Kaohsiung County, Fo Guang Shan
is a Chinese Mahayana Buddhist monastic order thats
gained a worldwide presence and has chapters around
the world. Founded in 1967 by Venerable Master Hsing
Yun, a renowned Chinese Buddhist monk and scholar,
the order promotes Humanistic Buddhism in the lineage
of Rinzai Zen. Fo Guand Shan is the largest Buddhist
monastery in Taiwan.
